On 21 September 2007, the World Congress of Imams and Rabbis for Peace declared:

« 2008 to be the year of Peace initiatives for the reconciliation of Israelis and Palestinians »


You too act for Peace between Israelis and Palestinians Join the ‘A Click for Peace’ operation

Acknowledging that the current situation has its origins in the lack of investment of international community to prepare the Jews and Arabs of Palestine before 1948 to cohabitation:
  1. I demand the end of the conflict between two populations that continue to suffer and be hurt.
  2. I support all actions and initiatives for reconciliation and peace.
  3. I demand that every effort should be undertaken to ensure that peace will be signed and declared, December 31, 2008 at the latest.
  4. I demand that all actors of civil society should be involved in peace negotiations.
  5. I call on the international community to provide the necessary facilities for peace process establishment and follow up.
